From Hong Kong, soprano Kris Ng (1995) is a prize-winner of the International Lied Festival Zeist Award (International Student LiedDuo competition) and the Chamber Opera Rheinsberg.
In the upcoming season, Kris will perform the roles of Gaai, Sprinkhaan, and Frantik in Janáček’s Het sluwe vosje with Nederlandse Reisopera. Additionally, she and pianist Aarón Ormaza will participate in the live rounds at 13th Nadia and Lili Boulanger Voice-Piano Competition. She also joins Groot Omroepkoor for performances at AVROTROS Vrijdagconcert (TivoliVredenburg), ZaterdagMatinee and Zondagochtend (Het Concertgebouw), the Lucerne Festival, and Berlin Festspiele.
She will make her curatorial debut with Stichting Tien Yan Nederland in the interdisciplinary theater project Smaken van Gevouwen Herinneringen in OBA Theater in Amsterdam, showcasting cultural expectations and inter-generational issues among the Chinese community in Amsterdam.
